Our life gives us only a feeling of being alive, if we have gratitude or the ability to live in the moment, combined with a sense of spirituality. Material objects are nice to have, but you get used to it, but happy memories we never get bored of!

One such memory (or should I say “sets of memories”) has been the visit to John of God, just after the AIM training in Brazil. We should not only be happy to have had this unique experience, providing us with challenges and personal meanings, but mainly express our gratitude to Kiran Schmidt and his wife Debora, for making this happen.

This gratitude towards Kiran should reflect our emotion of thankfulness for this journey (not just the destination) allowing each moment of this trip to John of God to be appreciated, and this with an attitude of openness and curiosity.

As opposed to religious practices which are mainly institutional rituals and ceremonies, spirituality is a deep anchoring in one’s belief system and self worth. Kiran has made it possible to all of us to enjoy this journey which will have changed the lives of all who participated.

The voyage isn’t really over yet: how to cultivate this sense of wonder in a world that lives on prime time and agenda, and where we are educated that happiness is mainly function of who you are, what you do and how other people see you…?

They climbed the steep cliffs that I see from my bedroom window and founded a new world inspired by the WORD and the spiritual exercises of Ignatius of Loyola the guiding soul of John of God, whom we will all visit next week.

In 1552, Nóbrega accompanied again Tomé de Sousa to the captaincy of São Vicente, (that is where we sold one of our first CoRe systems in Brazil) in the present-day Southern state of São Paulo. There, he was joined by another group of Jesuits, who had arrived with José de Anchieta, then a young novice, who travelled with Mem de Sá, the third Governor-General sent by the Crown. Nóbrega determined as the new mission of this small band of missionaries to found villages (aldeamentos) on the high plateau just above the coastline, in order to better pursue their work of catechesis and education of the Indians. Thus, on January 25, 1554, Nóbrega and Anchieta celebrated the first mass in the new and modest Jesuit College of São Paulo dos Campos de Piratininga, in honor of Saint Paul’s day of conversion to Christianity. The tiny settlement around this Jesuit school was to become one of the largest metropoles of the world, São Paulo with 17 million inhabitants…..

To gain authority in his fight against the colonists, Nóbrega asked the King to establish an episcopacy in Brazil, which was granted on February 25, 1551. The first Bishop of Brazil, Dom Pedro Fernandes Sardinha took office on June 22, 1552. By then, Nóbrega had already created the Jesuit College of Salvador. Nóbrega was then nominated the first Provincial of the Society of Jesus in the New World, a post which he held until 1559. However, Dom Sardinha was killed and eaten by hostile Indians after a shipwreck, changing Nóbrega’s mind about the Indian mission….

São Paulo was attacked several times, but the Portuguese resisted. Hard pressed, Nóbrega tried to make a peace treaty with the Confederation, sensing that all their effort and the Portuguese colonization was in great danger. Under considerable duress and several threats of being killed and eaten by the Indians, Nobrega and Anchieta stayed for a time in Iperoig(present-day Ubatuba (which the next city from where we have the AIM training on Ilhabella) in the Northern cost of São Paulo), in conference with the tribal chieftains, until Nóbrega was able to achieve a temporary peace. Anchieta’s command of Tupi, the language spoken by most of the Indians (of which he had compiled a vocabulary and a grammar) was extremely useful to Nóbrega, who had no such ability.

Note : how small is all our daily DLE today in comparison ….. no more threats to be eaten by the Indians…

9-10. 30 Kiran provides an outline of the AIM training and the new concepts and techniques introduced and a summary of regular seminar topics for new-comers

11 – 12.30 Willy introduces our new book on Informational science and makes a connection to  AIM training related topics

2- 3.30 Kiran introduces the informational concepts of the 4 bodies, Quadtrinity, Hologram and how they can be practically used in evaluation and therapy

4-5 Kiran will talk, for the first time, about the spiritual connection in healing according to the CoRe philosophy

Sunday 11^th April

9-10.30 Kiran talks about the benefits of personal certification, what the Temple of AIM has to offer and aspects that are to be discussed in the break-out session.
